"Romantic Futurism"

Fall 2023 takes Badgley Mischka’s romantic tendencies into a version of the future.

 

We are always seduced by the romance and allure of a grand gesture, of a sweeping staircase and a lingering look. We combined this with the ideas of the Italian Futurists – motion can be captured, lines should be dynamic, and clothes must “provide novel and constant enjoyment”.

 

The palette is based in the five elements of Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Metal. Key colors are obsidian, steel, emerald, ocean, bloodstone, pewter, and crystal.

 

Fabrics are liquid or gossamer or structured. Classic textures in georgette and satin are updated with technical fibers.
